My natural gray is becoming more visible, and I am trying to make the transition without replacing a perfectly usable wardrobe. For now, the roots and lengths have different colors, and I expect that mixed appearance to last through several more haircuts. I have several scarves in cream, charcoal, rose, and navy that could make an easy comparison without buying anything new. To give my questions a clearer starting point, I bookmarked a reference concerning personal color analysis as a starting point for further reading. A seasonal label would be less useful to me than understanding why I prefer particular scarves with my current hair. Should I compare a small set of colors now and revisit them later, or postpone any decisions until the brown lengths are gone? I am considering simple notes on what feels comfortable to wear, using a consistent set of scarves for each comparison. If you have handled a similar transition, what helped you make small adjustments while continuing to enjoy the clothes you already had?
