Our library is hosting a small clothing swap, and I am preparing an optional discussion about choosing colors from the available donations. The activity should stay accessible to visitors with no previous interest in fashion. Participants will bring very different styles, and many simply need something comfortable that fits. I would like the discussion to help people notice options they might otherwise overlook. A volunteer suggested sorting everything into seasons, but that seems difficult to explain consistently. One subject on my preparation list is personal color analysis while trying to keep the conversation open to individual taste and practical clothing needs. There will be mirrors, but we cannot offer private consultations or individual assessments. An open question about two contrasting garments might work better than a formal sorting system. Do you have suggestions for a friendly prompt that keeps personal choice at the center?
