A practical test before changing hair color
#1
I am growing out my natural gray after many years of coloring and the changing contrast is making some dependable clothes look unfamiliar near my face. I want to observe the transition patiently while continuing to use most of what I own. Charcoal continues to feel practical, but a few warm beige and brown tops now seem disconnected from the cooler hair around my temples. I am trying not to make permanent purchases from a changing appearance, especially because the dyed lengths will remain for quite a while. I have been reading this personal color analysis as a framework for repeating the same draping check every few months. Would repeating three test colors be more useful than a full palette, and should I then wait until more natural hair has grown before changing larger pieces? I can alter contrast with collars, glasses, or earrings. Which changes are worth making early, and which should wait?
